01 · Our approach
Weight management that goes beyond dieting
Weight is shaped by biological, lifestyle and environmental factors, so the same plan does not suit everyone. Our approach may combine diet control, exercise, western medicine and acupuncture — supervised by your doctor throughout. Read how our medical weight loss in Singapore programme works.

What is a healthy BMI in Singapore?
Singapore uses the Asian BMI scale rather than the international one, because Asians develop metabolic complications at lower BMIs. A BMI of 18.5 to 22.9 is the healthy range, 23.0 to 27.4 is overweight, and 27.5 and above is obese.
- Underweight
- Below 18.5
- Healthy weight

- Overweight

- Obese
- 27.5 and above
BMI is a screening tool and is not a diagnosis. Individual health assessment should be performed by a qualified healthcare professional.

Frequently asked questions
Still have a question? Speak with the clinic — we are happy to explain how a consultation works.
Ask on WhatsAppWhat is medical weight management?
Medical weight management is weight care led by a doctor. It begins with a clinical assessment, and combines diet, exercise and lifestyle changes with medical treatment where appropriate, reviewed over time.
Who is weight management suitable for?
Suitability is decided during consultation. Your doctor will consider your weight, medical history, medications and health goals before recommending an approach.
How does a consultation work?
You will discuss your health history and goals with the doctor, who will carry out an assessment and explain the options that may be appropriate for you, including what each involves.
Are weight-loss medicines suitable for everyone?
No. Prescription medicines are not suitable for everyone and are only supplied after a medical consultation. Your doctor will determine whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
What is GLP-1 medication?
GLP-1 receptor agonists are prescription medicines that act on a gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation. They are used in medically supervised weight management and are prescribed only where clinically appropriate, after assessment.
Is medication part of every weight management plan?
No. Diet, activity and behavioural support are the foundation of the programme. Where medication is clinically appropriate, your doctor will discuss the options with you — we do not advertise or recommend specific products on this website.
Can I consult the doctor online?
Teleconsultation can be arranged through the clinic. Message us on WhatsApp and our team will confirm the details with you.
