Privacy Policy
How Accord Medical Clinic collects, uses and protects your personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the medical confidentiality obligations that apply to a registered clinic.
1. Who we are
Accord Medical Pte Ltd ("Accord Medical", "the clinic", "we") operates Accord Medical Clinic at Blk 325 Ubi Avenue 1 #01-701, Singapore 400325. We are a medical clinic registered in Singapore and are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. It applies to this website, to enquiries you send us, and to the administrative records created when you receive care.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to provide medical care and to run the clinic lawfully: identity and contact details including name, NRIC or FIN, date of birth, address, phone number and email; medical information including history, symptoms, examination findings, test results, prescriptions and treatment records; appointment and communication records; payment and claims information; and website analytics data where enabled.
3. Why we use your data
We use personal data to provide and follow up on your medical care, to issue prescriptions, medical certificates and reports, to arrange teleconsultations and medicine delivery, to take payment and support MediSave or insurance claims, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed clinic in Singapore.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your medical information for advertising.
4. Consent
By providing your personal data to the clinic you consent to our using it for the purposes above. Where the law requires express consent — for example for marketing messages — we will ask for it separately, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
Withdrawing consent for certain uses may mean we can no longer provide a particular service, and we will tell you if that is the case.
6. How we protect your data
We apply reasonable administrative, physical and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use or disclosure. Access to medical records is limited to staff who need it to do their work, and all staff are bound by confidentiality obligations.
No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send confidential medical details through the website enquiry form — use a consultation or a direct call to the clinic instead.
7. How long we keep it
Medical records are retained for the periods required by Singapore law and professional guidance for a registered medical clinic. Data that is no longer needed for a legal or business purpose is securely disposed of.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you and information about how it has been used, and you may ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete. Requests should be made in writing to the clinic. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests and will respond within the timeframes set by the PDPA.
